You Can’t Please Everyone so… Live Your Life!
Hello all my beautiful people,
What a week, so many big big changes in the World, in our Country. I know for many it is a very difficult time to see where our country is headed. We have come so far and it seems we have taken a turn way off path. I mean if you just look at what is right in front of you it looks like we have really gone off the deep end. I mean totally wack a do… But I say no, no we have not.
We all want the same things, to feel loved, feel safe, feel worthy, abundant, joy. We want our friends and family to have a better life than we did, to be happy. Now how we get there, can be totally different. But there are only two ways… one is from love and the other is from fear. When it is coming from love it is powerful and strong, and you can move mountains. I choose love. I will not go to an anti war rally, but bring the peace rally on and I am there. No matter what your belief, I ask you to think about whether it is coming from love or fear. If it is love go for it. Love will unite our country, our world. Maybe this can be a time for us to realize we need to be stronger and more powerful in spreading love, kindness and forgiveness. To all my friends, I ask you to do the same. This can be an amazing year and Miracles will happen every day. Let’s look beyond all our differences and see what we all really want...
For me, this year has been beyond anything that I could have possibly imagined. It is starting off with fireworks, and I love fireworks. So many life time dreams coming true right at the beginning of the year. I won’t share them all right now and bore you but one that really knocked my socks off was being asked to speak as the Keynote speaker for the Women’s Empowerment and Leadership Conference in Bangkok,Thailand! Yes I leave February 26th. I am so humbled and honored. The gratitude I feel inside can not even be explained.
The conference is run by the Tomorrow People Organization (http://www.tomorrowpeople.org/about-us.html). They are all about making a positive change in the world.
“Tomorrow People Organization is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals become educated and ethical, globally aware professionals, committed to inflicting a positive change in the world. Our focus is on leadership and cross-cultural studies. By motivating people to develop new ideas and teaching them the skills necessary to put those ideas into action, we are creating new generations of responsible and successful global citizens–future leaders.
Tomorrow People Organization was founded in 2002 by a group of very enthusiastic individuals in Belgrade, Serbia. Today, Tomorrow People Organization has grown into an internationally recognized prestigious organization with numerous highly respected academic partners, and references. Our academic programs have been held in dozens of countries and in four continents. Our well-qualified staffs have taken part in successful programs all over the world, ranging from Argentina, to Thailand and have had the incredible opportunity to welcome participants from more than 60 different nationalities, expanding on ideas and creating a one of kind global network.
The main goal and the purpose of our activities is to encourage knowledge sharing, free flow of ideas, networking, thought provoking discussion between scholars, researchers, professionals, students, corporate world representatives, policymakers, people from NGO and all other individuals and organizations, enhancing cross cultural cooperation and cultural intelligence Having in mind the importance of this matter for successful and continuous professional development of an organization and society in whole, we have designed the Women's Leadership and Empowerment Conference as a platform for prospective young educators, future leaders and experienced professionals, such as yourselves, to address various issues related to the field, propose solutions and share ideas and experiences, ultimately bringing back knowledge and positive change in their respective communities.”
At first, I went back and forth on this opportunity because I did not want to be away from my family for that long, or fly that long. But that passed quickly. This kind of experience is exactly what I am passionate about. I get to travel internationally and speak to people all over the World about all the positive in the world. Do I hear an Amen. I can teach others how to see all the goodness in themselves, their worthiness to have a beautiful life now. I can talk about Train Your Head… Body Will Follow, spreading the good news and starting a movement across the globe. What could be better than doing what you love and making the change in the world that you want to see! This is what I was born to do. This is what I am passionate about. This is what makes me jump out of bed and dance around. I asked for it, and when I was ready, it came to me leaps and bounds. I will miss my family dearly, but I can’t pass up this opportunity and I will be home in 10 days. My husband and my son, both said, there was no option, You have to go.
What are you passionate about… I want to know. I want you to write it down and see it happen. Send it to me and I promise I will help you visualize your amazing life.
Now this subject is a big one, so I called in some of my favorites to help us gear up. They are both very dear and special to my journey.
Matt Labosco, a Movement Specialist & Conscious Transformation Meditation Trainer, and Laurie Gerber an Expert Coach with Handel Group. Both of these people really know their stuff when it comes to owning your passion in life.
You are up first Matt.

“"Living for Yourself. Finding Yourself. Finding Your Passion." I would say these things if not navigated properly can be HUGE traps. If your goal is to "find yourself" or "find your passion" there is a good chance you will be doing this for your entire life. The context that is being created through that lens is the context of seeking, if you are seeking, that means you don't have something. I would invite you to CLAIM something NOW and own it fully. Stop seeking and start BEING. You already have everything you seek. Make your purpose your way of being, Your way of being (your state) is how you show up everyday. Are you showing up passionate? Confident? Excited? Joyful? Fulfilled? or with "self doubt", "anxiety", "fear", "shame". Live for your STATE and CHOOSE to bring that to everyone/everything in your life regardless of how others are choosing to show up.”
How inspiring is that? Take the bull by the horns and conquer life. Let’s do this!
Ok, now my dear friend Laurie, it is your turn,
Laurie Gerber has recently written her own blog post on this topic. Here is her amazing advice:
“If Tom Robbins was right in Still Life with a Woodpecker and it really is never too late to have a happy childhood––then we better get busy having what we say we most want right now, no?...
Here are five steps to get you closer to happy now.
1) Dream and design.
As kids, most of us dream boldly and publicly. We want to be a dancer or a doctor or the lead in the school play. We are excited, believe in it wholeheartedly and tell everyone. But as we get a bit older, reality can set in and we realize that not all our dreams come true. Failing at a dream, at any age (first grade or freshman in college) can be disheartening and embarrassing. So, what do we do instead?
We stop believing and dreaming.
Whenever a new client starts coaching at HG, we get them excited and dreaming again in all areas of their life. Dreaming and designing your life opens up what is truly possible for you and your life. And that is both exciting and inspiring….”
Doesn’t that sound great? To have the life you want and be happy? Sign me up. Handel Group's first book is available for pre-orders now. Now what you have all been waiting for… here are my own tips for pleasing yourself:
Choose who you tell. Before your dream becomes a reality, make sure you chose wisely whom you want to share your vision with. Even well meaning people may not give you the support or encouragement you need. You don’t want any naysayers or people telling you all the reasons it can’t happen. They are all wonderful people but maybe not the right ones to chat with , until it is reality.
Be open to life’s miracles. I know I say this one all the time, but if you are open, and see the miracles every day, then they will start rolling in before you know it.
Find your passion. What gets you up in the morning? No not chores… what do you truly truly love to do. Now do that. If you do what you love and are open to opportunities they will come and the money will come.
Find your peeps. Research other people making a life doing what you love too. Form a community. They will give you ideas, confidence, and increase your passion for what you do.
Schedule it. Not enough time in the day for what you really want to do? Well then schedule it in your calendar, and stick to it. If you prioritize it more, than you will be happier right off the bat.
So whether it is jetting off to Thailand, or starting your own business, wanting to meditate, move, start taking walks, or just simple being the change you want for the world, realize your passion and start making it happen, and making yourself happy today! There is no day like today to start being your happiest positive self.
Do it for you, from love and the World will shine around you.
